RIZIN Landmark 14
RIZIN makes its long-awaited arrival in Tohoku with RIZIN LANDMARK 14 in SENDAI, live from Xebio Arena Sendai on Saturday, June 6.
In the main event, newly crowned RIZIN Flyweight Champion Hiromasa Ougikubo defends his title against Miyagi’s own Makoto Shinryu in a heated championship rematch. Ougikubo, one of Japanese MMA’s most respected veterans, enters as the champion after a late-career resurgence that has cemented his legacy as one of RIZIN’s toughest warriors. Standing across from him is Shinryu, the young hometown challenger determined to avenge his previous loss, claim the flyweight throne, and capture championship gold in front of the Tohoku crowd.
The card also features a major flyweight clash between longtime RIZIN contender Yuki Motoya and Canadian finisher Tony Laramie, as Motoya looks to rebound and remain near the top of the division. At lightweight, RIZIN fan favorite Yusuke Yachi faces former two-division King of Pancrase ISAO, while charismatic striker “Black Panther” BeyNoah meets GRACHAN lightweight champion Bilal Kai Haga in a battle of unique striking styles.
Heavyweights collide as veteran Ryo Sakai takes on former sumo wrestler Takakenshin, and the featherweight division gets a fresh showcase with former RISE champion Naoki facing Miyagi’s own Kaisei Kuroi. Rising personalities and regional fighters also fill the lineup, including Daichi Tomizawa vs. Rui Kato and Koki “Playboy” Akada vs. Seiya Inoue, bringing a mix of experience, local pride, crossover appeal, and explosive matchmaking to RIZIN’s first major Sendai event.
With a flyweight title fight, hometown storylines, veteran names, and the next wave of Japanese MMA talent, RIZIN LANDMARK 14 in SENDAI promises to be a landmark night for Tohoku — and a pivotal chapter in the future of RIZIN’s flyweight, lightweight, and heavyweight divisions.
